Strategic seminar in Warsaw "Psychedelics in the treatment of war-related trauma"

In mid-June of this year, Vladyslav Matrenytskyi, director of the Expio Center, took part in an international seminar in Warsaw organized by the European Alliance for Psychedelic Access and Research (PAREA) in cooperation with the Open Society Foundations, the International Renaissance Foundation, the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, and the Ukrainian Association for Psychedelic Studies.

The main objective of the workshop was to develop a common situational understanding and program
advocacy program, as well as providing tools and expertise to support Ukraine in expanding access
to psychedelic therapy for people with war-related post-traumatic stress disorder.

Vladyslav Matrenytskyi made a presentation on the use of ketamine psychedelic therapy in the treatment of Ukrainian civilians and veterans with mental health disorders.

- Erik Vermetten, Military Mental Health Service of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands,
Leiden University

- Olga Chernoloz, University of Toronto and Phoenix Project Ukraine
