Causes of psychosomatic diseases

Why do people continue to suffer from chronic diseases?

Despite the rapid development of science and medicine, many people still suffer from chronic diseases. Why?

Because a single organ or tissue affected by the disease is treated, not the person as a whole.
And the main thing in a person is his or her personality, psyche, soul. Socrates wrote:
"There is no bodily disease apart from the soul."

If you treat only the symptom, ignoring the cause, the disease comes back again.

The achievements of such sciences as psychoneuroimmunology, epigenetics, and psychoneuroendocrinology prove thatmost diseases are of psychosomatic origin:
.

Chronic psychophysiological stress:

  • suppresses the immune system

  • blocks the mechanisms of self-regulation

  • causes disorders in the functioning of organs

Sources of stress:

  • unresolved problems

  • mental trauma

  • internal and interpersonal conflicts

  • repressed emotions

The longer the conflict lasts, the deeper the disease takes root.

From a scientific point of view, it is the result of the somatization process:
"embodiment" of emotional pain in the body.

Types of somatization:

Acute - for example, a heart attack after the loss of a loved one
Chronic (persistent) - protracted psychological trauma that can last for years

This condition destroys the harmony between the body, mind, social and spiritual levels of being.

  1. Psychosomatic reactions - disappear with the disappearance of stress

  2. Functional syndromes (organ neuroses) - without organic changes yet

  3. Psychosomatosis - with morphological organ damage

The basis of psychosomatosis is the formation of the psychophysiological dominant of the disease.

  • Neuroses, depression, and anxiety disorders develop

  • The body's adaptive potential is depleted

  • The functions of internal organs are impaired

The deeper the stress, the more serious the damage to the body.

A classic list:

  • bronchial asthma

  • hypertension

  • rheumatoid arthritis

  • peptic ulcer disease

  • ulcerative colitis

  • thyrotoxicosis

  • neurodermatitis

A modern addition:

  • heart attack, angina pectoris

  • eczema, psoriasis

  • osteochondrosis, obesity

  • irritable bowel syndrome

  • infertility (without organ pathology)

  • type 2 diabetes mellitus

  • psychosomatic thyrotoxicosis

  • and many others

Today, even cancer is classified as psychosomatics, as proved by the book Carcinogenic Mind by V. L. Matrenitsky.

Because pharmacological medicine is focused on eliminating symptoms, not causes.

Few doctors are ready:

  • change the approach

  • learn anew

  • lose your "usual" income

A person is a single system: body, energy, mind, and spirituality.

Unlike Freud's classical approach, the
integrative model works with all four levels of being.

  • Has a deep biological effect similar to drugs

  • Reduces cortisol levels

  • Reduces the activity of inflammatory genes

  • Stimulates the growth of stem cells

  • Lengthens telomeres

Psychotherapy activates genetic recovery mechanisms within 90-120 minutes after starting.

True recovery is only possible when not only the body but also the soul is healed.
Today, every illness is a psychosocial challenge, not just a physical breakdown.

We treat any psychosomatic illnesses, including psychosomatic diseases:
