The best results are achieved in combination with psychotherapy before, during, and after the session. The experience of taking it is not just chemistry, but a unique subjective state that needs to be properly integrated. Psychedelic medicine is not only the medicine of the future, but a new approach to healing that combines science, psychotherapy, and deep work with the psyche. They open new horizons in the treatment of depression, PTSD, addictions, and existential anxiety.

In recent decades, psychopharmacology has made little progress: the number of FDA-approved drugs for the treatment of mental disorders has decreased from 13 in 1996 to only one in 2016.
Classical antidepressants are slow acting, often do not produce complete remission, and have a number of serious side effects (weight gain, sexual dysfunction, heart problems, etc.).
In response to the deadlock of traditional medicine, interest in psychedelic substances, drugs that expand consciousness and can quickly affect the psyche, has intensified again.
After a period of active research in the 1950s and 1970s (more than 1,000 papers, 40,000 patients), in the 1970s all psychedelics were banned in the United States. The reasons were not only abuse, but also social upheaval caused by protests against the Vietnam War.
Since the early 2000s, the study of psychedelic substances has resumed, and over the past decade, their scientific research has become one of the fastest growing areas of medicine.
Today, more than 400 clinical trials are registered, and the FDA has granted breakthrough therapy status to psilocybin(depression) and MDMA (PTSD).
Psychedelic substances are not drugs in the traditional sense: they are non-toxic, non-dependent, and do not have a pronounced withdrawal syndrome.
Their effect is associated with the activation of serotonin receptors (5-HT2A), which affect emotions, mood, cognition, learning, inflammation, and brain plasticity.
Therefore, they have been given a new name - psychoplastogens - drugs that can restructure pathological neural circuits even after a single dose.
Classical ones: psilocybin, LSD, DMT, mescaline.
MDMA (ecstasy): acts through serotonin and dopamine.
Ketamine.dissociative anesthetic, NMDA receptor antagonist.
Other substances: ibogaine, salvinorin A - with unique mechanisms of action.
Psychedelic substances weaken the ego, opening access to the subconscious. This allows you to:
to work through mental trauma more deeply,
change destructive patterns of thinking,
find new meanings and resources for healing.
Many patients describe the experience as one of the most important events in their lives, opening the way to deep self-discovery.
The feeling of unity, awe, timelessness, insight - all of this contributes to lasting positive changes in behavior, emotionality, and outlook.
Assistance in restoring psychological balance and resources.
Working with anxiety, physical symptoms and fear of losing control
Modern methods of overcoming fears that interfere with life.
Therapy for people with post-traumatic experiences.
A health disorder that occurs due to somatization, that is, the "embodiment" of negative emotions in the body.
Psycho-oncology is psychotherapeutic care for patients with cancer.
