On October 15-17, 2024, the 2nd annual International Healthcare Summit, jointly organized by August Mission and MedGlobal, was held, which became a significant event for healthcare professionals, researchers, medical companies and experts from the international community.
Participants learned about advanced technologies, the latest treatments and best practices that Ukrainian doctors are implementing today, based on the best practices of doctors and hospitals around the world. Experts in the field shared their experience and opinions on current and future healthcare needs in Ukraine, as well as spoke about rehabilitation projects.
The summit was organized in three areas: orthopedics and trauma, rehabilitation and therapy, and mental health. Within the latter, there was a section on psychedelic therapy, where Vladyslav Matrenytskyi, director of the Expio Center, spoke. He spoke about our experience of using ketamine-assisted therapy and the planned clinical trial of this method in the treatment of pharmacologically resistant PTSD in veterans. The participants discussed the prospects for the development of psychedelic therapy in Ukraine.
The summit was attended by representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of regional state administrations, and international organizations.
