"Expio" Medical Center sincerely invites you to participate in the psychotherapeutic ketamine-assisted group.
It will be useful for you if, after completing the course of individual therapy, you still have unresolved psychological issues, or you still feel anxious and lonely in the struggle with your own problems, if you are dissatisfied with the quality of your life, or sometimes you feel a depressed mood and emotional burnout. Also, group psychotherapy enhances the positive dynamics of individual therapy that you may be currently undergoing.
It is better to fight stress together, because, as is known, "one is not a warrior in the field." In our group, you will find like-minded people, people who are on the same path to regaining their emotional stability. Together we will work to change your life for the better. Our experienced psychotherapists will help you understand your feelings, find ways to overcome problems and restore the quality of your life.
Our support group is a safe and confidential space where you can share your feelings and thoughts, where you won't feel alone, where you can talk, express emotions or stay silent about what really matters to you. The group, unlike individual therapy, prompts faster changes that are safe for a person. It is in the group that you can model possible perspectives of ecological behavior towards yourself, feel support without evaluation and advice from "sofa" experts.
Under the supervision of qualified specialists (psychiatrist, anesthesiologist, clinical psychologist/psychotherapist), ketamine and in a group format will become an important tool in your struggle for a better life.
The protocol of this group therapy was developed together with colleagues from the American foundation Heal Trauma Ukraine, and together we have already conducted, for the first time in Ukraine, the first training group of Ukrainian psychologists and psychiatrists. So we have something to share with you!
Terms of participation:
The group will consist of adult men and women. We will be conducting a selection for the forming group, so not everyone will be invited. We may be able to offer you the next group. One meeting with a psychotherapist for 1.5 hours in an individual format is provided for inclusion, as well as a medical and mental diagnosis with a psychiatrist of our clinic (1-1.5 hours). Then, a group of 6-8 participants will meet once a week for 1.5 hours.
The program provides:
– six psychotherapeutic group meetings in a mixed format (online and offline), including 3 integration sessions after ketamine sessions,
– three ketamine-assisted group sessions with intramuscular injection of the drug, that is, all participants will undergo the process simultaneously in one large room. Then there will be a joint discussion of the experience. Such sessions with different doses of the drug take from 5 to 8 hours each and will take place on Saturdays (three in a row).
The start of work - after the formation of the group, the duration of group work is approximately 2 months.
Feedback from one of the participants in the group psychotherapy process: “I could never fully understand before how, in particular, being in the stories of the Other could help my vulnerable traumatized parts and my [inner] Defenders to make me so me, real, open, who I dreamed of being. The group helps to trust yourself, accept yourself, forgive and be in better contact with the world. I didn't know as much about myself as I do now."
